Joshua Bernard: The human rights club here at Penn Law, IRA, runs a bunch of different pro bono projects across the world. This year we're actually running a Spring Break trip to Ecuador, which is going to be a very fun time, and also very beneficial for the rural communities that we're working with. We're going to connect with students and law professors in Ecuador and engage in a very first-hand study of the resource extraction process, study some of the social and environmental consequences associated with using natural resources, and then spend some time working with rural communities. Run a policy related conference or two focused on policy approaches to curbing some of those externalities.
